Effective Date: June 1, 2006 ·
Last Updated: May 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Computer Housecalls, LLC ("Computer Housecalls," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to our website and users of our products and services, including the EDSI VMS veterinary practice management software.
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide to us directly. This includes your name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and payment information when you sign up for an account, request support, fill out a contact form, or use our services.
Information collected on behalf of our business customers. Our customers are veterinary practices ("Practices") that use EDSI VMS to manage their own client and patient records. When a Practice's clients ("End Clients") provide their contact information to that Practice, we process and store that information solely on the Practice's behalf, in our role as a service provider. We do not own End Client information; the Practice does.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell browsing data.
Information from third parties. We may receive information from payment processors (such as Stripe) confirming successful or failed payments, and from email and SMS providers (such as SendGrid and Twilio) confirming message delivery status.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use personal information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or sale to third parties.
If you receive a text message from us or from a Practice using our platform, the following terms apply:
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
We do not sell personal information. We do not share information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations (including tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
End Client information collected on behalf of a Practice is retained according to that Practice's instructions. When a Practice closes its account, we delete or return End Client data within a reasonable period, typically 90 days, unless otherwise required by law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take security seriously and respond promptly to any incidents.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
End Clients of a Practice should contact the Practice directly first, since the Practice is the controller of that data.
Our products and services are intended for use by businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold). If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We are based in the United States and process information in the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email or through a notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
